Donald Wilcox, DDS

Fast becoming known as one of the country’s leading restorative and cosmetic dentists, Dr. Wilcox and his dedicated team at Desertsmiles are committed to being at the forefront of cosmetic techniques and technology. Recognized by MicroDental as one of the top cosmetic practices in the nation, Dr. Wilcox is a continuing scholar at the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. In addition, he has studied nationwide with other top clinicians such as Dr. Bill Dorfman of ABC’s Extreme Makeover. He also is a member and graduate of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.

Dr. Wilcox graduated #1 in his class from Northwestern University Dental School in 1977. He then completed another year of advanced residency training in Denver. Dr. Wilcox is an active member in numerous state and national dental associates. He has had his own mouth reconstructed with porcelain veneers and onlays to enhance his smile and bite.

Kimberly, Certified Dental Assistants

Kimberly has over 25 years of experience in dentistry; over 11 yeas with Dr. Wilcox. She has extensive cosmetic dentistry experience. She has attended LVI seminars, Dental Boot Kamp, and Blatchford Seminars. Her main responsibilities are assisting Dr. Wilcox and doing cosmetic imaging for patients. Kimberly also spends her free time with her two teenage boys. She enjoys watching baseball, golf and reading.

Jackie, Certified Dental Assistants

Jackie assists the doctor in all dental procedures ranging from a simple filling to a full mouth reconstructive cosmetic case. She likes to make sure the patients’ visit is as comfortable and soothing as possible. Jackie helps patients with any insurance or financial questions. She will also make a follow-up call after the procedure to make sure the patient is satisfied with the treatment results. Jackie has nine years experience and has been assisting Dr. Wilcox for one year. She attended PAC Live, Las Vegas Institute, full mouth restorative, neuromuscular courses, boot camp and implant seminars. Jackie enjoys rubber stamping, attending her daughter's volleyball games and going to movies.

Donna, Hygienist

Donna is a licensed RDH, LVI graduate and laser certified. She enjoys using her clinical skills to ensure life long dental health through patient education and periodontal care. She has 29 years of experience in dentistry, the last 11 with Dr. Wilcox.

Joyce Phillips, Hygienist

Joyce is a licensed RDH with 30 years in dentistry. She has worked with Dr. Wilcox for 10 years. She taught dental assisting for two years and many continuing education classes. She is a LVI graduate and laser certified for perio treatment. Her focus is teeth cleaning and patient education. Her hobbies include golf, reading and traveling.

Shelley, Front Desk

Shelly's friendly face is the first to welcome patients to the office. She helps patients schedule appointments, check in and out and answers any questions they may have. She will also follow-up on any insurance matters. She is a Dale Carnegie Trainer, has a B.S. in Education and taught for five years before joining Dr. Wilcox's practice ten years ago. Shelley enjoys sports, traveling, reading and hiking.

Evelyn Wieser, Receptionist/Front Office

Evelyn has worked in dental offices for 25 years, the last five with Dr. Wilcox. She greets patients on the phone and in the office and helps with scheduling and insurance questions.
