Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain that bonded to the teeth. They require two separate appointments at our Glendale Cosmetic Office over an interval of three to four weeks. During the first appointment, teeth are prepared by conservatively reducing the enamel in front or around the tooth and custom designed to fit naturally over each individual tooth. You will wear temporaries that are made of a plastic-like material while the lab is making your restorations. This will give you time to test drive your new smile.If you would like any changes done we can arrange that with the lab before your permanent restorations are placed.

Before placing your restorations we will try in your veneers with a paste so you can see your new smile. Then the resins used to permanently adhere the porcelain veneered teeth are cured using an Argon laser, which helps create a stronger bond. Porcelain veneers are as strong as your own teeth and resist future discoloration and chipping. They also make a dramatic, immediate difference to your smile and self esteem.

Any adjustments that may need to be made with your final fit and bite can be done immediately. In summary the benefits of porcelain veneers are many. They last longer than regular bonding and in most cases do not require extensive dental preparation.
