This past year, to give back to local Arizona residents in need, we were fortunate to participate in the largest dental charitable event in Phoenix called the Arizona Dental Mission of Mercy in Phoenix. You may have seen it covered by the major news stations here in the valley. Held at Veterans Memorial Coliseum, our office, along with 300 other Dentists helped over 1,500 needy men, women and children who were suffering from pain and suffering. The clinic, the largest one in the country, opened it’s doors at 5 a.m. on a Friday morning, where thousands had stood in line all night . There was Gwendalyn, one of the first patients in line, who reached in her purse to show us her bottle of pills. Each month for the last year, she had to go to the emergency room, where she would routinely get antibiotics and pain medication for her infection and pain. Two root canals and two fillings later, she was pain free for the first time in years! When we were all done at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening, all of us working together had delivered 118 partial dentures, did 81 root canals, extracted 2,443 teeth, filled 1,193 others and performed 1,769 hygiene procedures. It was heartwarming and simply AMAZING! We are looking forward to being part of it in 2013.
Thank you for your continued support and confidence you show in our practice…we are blessed to have the best patients in the world!
