Treating OSA in Frequent Drivers Saves $ and Lives; Phoenix Sleep Apnea Appliances

Glendale Dentist Serving Phoenix, Scottsdale, Peoria, and nearby areas in Arizona

In a recent post by Sleep Doctor Michael Breus at the Insomnia Blog, a recent study indicates that treating sleep apnea in truckers lowers health care costs and disability rates. On average, treatment of OSA led to more than 6k in total health plan and disability cost savings per treated driver. Treating snoring and OSA has also been shown to lower accident rates. OSA has been associated with an increased risk for a myriad of health problems, including hypertension, heart disease, mood and memory problems.
In our Glendale snoring and sleep apnea center, we treat patients with snoring or mild to moderate apnea successfully with oral appliances from the Phoenix area. In addition for patients who are unable to comply with wearing a CPAP we can significantly lessen the severity of their OSA.
