Glendale dentist Dr. Donald Wilcox attended the Western Regional Convention this past three days in his quest to bring the latest in knowledge and technology to the patients of DesertSmiles.  Dr. Wilcox attended lectures in medical emergencies to be sure we are properly prepared to handle any situation that may arise for our fearful Peoria dental patients as they enjoy sleep dentistry.  In our commitment to be on the cutting edge of technology, Dr. Wilcox attended classes in the use of 3D Cone Beam cat scans, including an anatomy workshop by world renowed oral radiologist Dr. Dale Miles.  Dr. Wilcox also reviewed various 3D Cone Beam units that were displayed at the convention exhibitor floor.  It is our hope to bring this huge advance in imaging technology to our Glendale dental office for guided implant surgery, snoring and sleep apnea airway evaluations for dental mouthpieces, nasal and sinus evaluations for our snoring and sleep apnea patients, and TMJ evaluations for our snoring and sleep apena patients and major dental restorative cases.

As soon as training and delivery of the unit can be accomplished we are excited to announce that we will be able to take digital impressions for crowns, bridges, implants and sleep appliances with the iTero technology.  This will be a huge step forward in the quality of our restorative and cosmetic dentistry for our Phoenix patients.  No longer will you need to have impression material put in your mouth for a procedure.  We will be able to digitally scan your teeth and the digital impression is instantly transmitted to the laboratory to begin fabricating your restoration or sleep appliance.  Greater accuracy and greater comfort from Phoenix dentist Dr. Donald Wilcox and the staff at DesertSmiles coming your way soon!!!  Watch for more information regarding digital dental impression at
