At Desert Smiles, we are fully committed to the health and safety of each of our patients. Our sanitation practices meet or exceed CDC, ADA, and OSHA recommendations, and our new COVID-19 cleaning protocols have further enhanced these practices, helping us to keep each person who walks through our door healthy and safe while in our care.
COVID-19 Cleaning and Safety Protocol
Due to COVID-19, we are requiring a screen before each visit. This will include a symptoms checklist and a touchless temperature gauge. If additional steps will be necessary before your appointment, we will provide direction before you arrive. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment to complete these new steps.
And please, for the safety of our doctor and staff: if you do not feel well or if you have a fever or a cough, reschedule your appointment.
We use the Medify MA-25 W1 Medical Grade Filtration H13 True HEPA to keep the air in our office clear of germs and bacteria. This system is designed to remove 99.9% of airborne viruses and pollutants, helping to ensure our patients are breathing the cleanest and purest air.
While in the chair, Dr. Tenney and our staff will be equipped with sterile rubber gloves, N95 medical masks, and face shields. We ask that you wear a face-covering from the time you enter our office until you are in the treatment room. This will help prevent the unintentional spread of germs between patients. Our lobby is, however, sterilized after each patient enters. Treatments rooms are cleaned after each use as well.
We understand that navigating these new protocols can be confusing and frustrating. If you have any questions, please use the contact form on this page to reach out or call before your appointment so that we can make sure you are comfortable by the time you arrive.
Cleaning and Sterilization Process
In addition to our heightened COVID cleaning protocol, we have always taken steps to protect the health of our patients. We perform a six-part sterilization process, which includes ultrasound cleaning and autoclave disinfecting, on all of our instruments. Each room is disinfected after use and double purified water is used for all services.
Our commitment to your health and safety is unwavering. We look forward to talking with you so we can listen to your concerns and provide honest answers to any questions you may have.
